How we work

Our Process, From First Call to Final Walk-Through

Exterior work should be predictable. Here is exactly what happens after you call us, so you know what to expect at every step.

Two roofers working together on the shingle roof of a house

Step 1: You call, we listen

Every project starts with a conversation. Tell us what you are seeing (a leak, a cracked chimney, drafty windows, a deck that moves) or what you want to build. If you send photos, we can often give you a first opinion over the phone before anyone visits. We answer in English and Spanish.

Step 2: A free estimate based on what we see

We come to the property, inspect the area and take measurements. For roofs, that usually means a roof inspection from the roof and, when possible, the attic. An estimate usually takes 30 minutes to an hour. You get a written price with the scope of work, and you are never pressured to decide on the spot.

Step 3: Scheduling and preparation

Once you approve the estimate, we set a start date, order materials and confirm whether your town requires a permit for the work. Half of the project price is due to start, and the other half when the job is complete.

Step 4: The work

On the first day, we protect your landscaping, walls and driveway. Then we work in the right order: remove, inspect what is underneath, repair what is damaged, and install the new work. If we find something unexpected, like rotted sheathing under old shingles or a damaged sill under a window, we show you before we go further. The site is cleaned up every day.

Step 5: Final walk-through

When the job is done, we walk it with you. We show you what was done, answer your questions and make sure nothing is left behind, from nails in the yard to debris in the gutters.
